Hong Kong tops poll of contingent workforce engagement

Recruiter magazine has reported that a recent survey found that Hong Kong continues to be the highest-ranked country for the commitment and connection to its contingent workforce in 2014, followed closely by the US (Note: The contingent workforce consists of workers who are involved on a casual, temporary, contract or interim basis).

China moved up from 16th place last year to third due to its well-balanced mix of relatively high workforce availability and industry dynamics, despite shifting regulations and wages. On the other hand, Australia fell from fourth place in 2013 to 15th in 2014 due to rising manufacturing wages and reduced workforce availability.
